“Throw in your troubles!”
cries out the chief as the tribe
stands around the volcano,
bubbling with angry lava,

Overflowing with rage,
the people toss in their trash
and watch as it’s all burned,
bubbling up angry lava,

Simmering in hot heavy heat,
the fires erupt from the depths
deep below earth and overtake
the world with angry lava,

Frightening itself the volcano
erupts and all the people
run from the in terror and fear.
Perish in angry lava.

The author's comments:
Writing a conceit which was meant to represent someone who was overly anxious and worrisome about things being tossed at them which needed to be completed.
