-Chains-
Trying to escape,
I realize that I don't stand a chance,
I am chained,
A prisioner in my own life,
My own body,
My own family and home.
Escape is something that I wish for,
Knowing that my wish,
Will forever be denied,
I find ways to mask the pain,
By seeing the beauty,
That lies behind these chains,
These rusty, heavy chains,
That are dragging my down to my death,
But if you look beyond them,
And try really hard,
You can see the beautiful sunset,
Falling down with me,
Whispering to me that I will be okay.
