Julie
Spilled on the floor is the pain she feels
that pounds in her head like a steelworker.
It's a race against time but she can't beat the clock
that already begun ticking
far too fast
for her family to find help.
A need for love
a need for healing
a need for protection
a need that cannot be satisfied with what she has left.
Medication kicks in, the pain goes away,
how much time has passed?
Loved ones gather to see her
one last time before the last grain of sand in the hourglass
finally runs out.
Only six weeks left to live and
spilled on the floor is the pain she feels
we love you Julie and you will be greatly missed.
