Belief
Within the confines of my tears
Forced to face my deepest fears
To confront my mind and my belief
With questions whose answers equate to grief
Against the mass and what I’ve been told
Away from them and their homicidal hold
To mourn the few and neglect the many
And value one above literally any
They cry for those who asked for death
And forget those who were robbed of breath
I think it is wrong and get dirty looks
While they ignore what is not in their nook
People are people and loss is loss
So their care free iron grip I toss
Carve out my own shape and place
And break from the cookie-cutter race
