Learn the Way
Seize the moment, seize the day,
For just a second keep chaos at bay,
Leave the world of time, and know forever,
Cut your ties to reality, learn to sever,
Observe what can only happen in dreams,
Learn the things unknown, take away the screams,
Give yourself away, fall into the sky of love,
Take for granted nothing, stay so far above,
Retain the moment, retain the day,
Keep eternity in sight, learn the way,
Live each moment as if it’s your last,
Because before you know it, it’s gone so fast,
Slipping through your fingers, like smoke,
15 one day, 24 when you next awoke,
What have you dine to help the world,
Or will you always be waiting to be unfurled,
Telling yourself that you’ll being tomorrow,
But just keep drowning in your own sorrow,
Never really living, but simply drifting by,
Only existing, and repeating the same lie,
Keeping yourself in a cocoon of dread,
Locked within your own swamps of lead,
Unable and unwilling to become something great,
We waste ourselves, never knowing another state.
