The sky was a beautiful grey this morning
It offset the colors of the leaves coating the ground
The trees were preparing for Spring
For a fresh start
For another chance
And I was among them

The sky slowly opened up and
Began to pour tears of joy upon us
It sensed that life would soon
Blossom and
Thrive
And I would be in the midst of it all

When the first cherry blossom
Comes around, full bloom
I will be surrounded by the scent of
Simple Hello's and hidden smiles
Knowing that soon winter will be back
To stir the leaves again
And color the sky a beautiful grey
And I will be a part of it
