Surface Pretty
Surface pretty-
a monster inside
her heart, her soul,
her life.
Mascara bleeding
with the tears she cries-
she smiles and laughs,
then lies.
Surface pretty-
ugly within;
her heart as black
as sin.
If they saw her soul,
they all would flinch.
They would never trust
again.
Surface pretty-
demon girl.
She chats and charms,
but kills.
Her heart racing for
the thrill...
poisoned, pretty
pill.
Surface pretty,
and sweet, and vain-
black blood runs in
her veins.
Lipstick smile hides
needle fangs.
And hate, and lust,
and pain.
Surface pretty-
empty inside.
She smiles, beguiles,
and lies.

i think its about this feeling we all get- like you have this dark secret in your soul, and if they ever find out, your life and friendships will be utterly over.
i dunno if the verse style is too strict, or if some of the lines make sense. i trust you guys to tell me where i screwed up! :)
