I'm Not Inspired
The video that played,
The poetry you gave,
It didn’t inspire me.
Everyone’s writing,
I am only thoughtless.
Nothing comes from my memory.
The blank page mocks me,
And your eyes set me
On a shelf, waiting to find out more.
My arms are stiff.
My legs are stuck together.
My head won’t move, you slam the door.
The soft blonde curls frame my face,
The painted blue eyes blink,
I watch as the others follow you.
Yet here I am,
Left on the shelf,
As a tear falls from the painted blue.
