If I where younger and you where

The gap between us would move
Slower.
But your first breath was just prelude to mine-
And that’s what I love about time.
After the birth of us both,
You where always somewhere
And I was always
Somewhere else.
Until the day came when we met and
marveled
at all the time that had to die for us to
live.
