Sincerity
Where is this thing called sincerity
That we would tear each other down so eagerly?
We applaud one minute
And berate the next.
One could spin a melody, praising the Lord,
And caught in the moment you would clap.
Tell them how wonderful they did,
Then with your friends tear them down again.
Empty praise hurts more than no one clapping.
So encourage, clap, or love if you mean it,
Because everything means nothing from one who doesn’t feel it
