Let us dance
Lets dance.
Pull me roughly towards you,
and we will attempt to prance.
While you map us across the floor
I will follow your lead angrily,
complaining about the pain and sores.
We continue to stumble and trip over each other,
and I try not to cry.
Start to curtly force your lips on mine.
I will shut my eyes
and pretend that its fine.
I wish I no longer had to lie.
Why do we continue to dance?
My legs grow weary
and dragging me around begins to weaken your stance.
I see other couples in sync, and my eyes grow teary.
The music slowly stops,
but we continue to feebly dance.
My head begins to drop,
when I realize we never had a chance.
Your hands finally slip away from my body
and we no longer try to dance.
