missles for your memory
my mind's a violent anarchist
fighting for freedom from my heart
yet though it tries to escape its binds
i can't keep the two apart
so i'll write myself a letterbomb
a loving self-destruct
missles for your memory
until my world's unstuck
and if you hear me crying
don't give it thought at all
and if you see me dying here
just know it's not your fault
i'm trapped inside an old year
with you for company
and all my self trust is turned into dust
by the flames from our heart's broken city
i exhausted my own happiness
lost the courage to love another
in the thrill of achieving your tireless bliss
i find myself blind, bound and smothered
please just forget me and stay far away
become just as bright as your beauty
and i'll be right here waging war on my history
with missles meant for your memory
