My self esteem goes through the ground
Whenever you're around.
The remarks I get from first impressions
Are so naive and guiltless.
No one can understand the hurt that comes from their decisions.
Thoughtless, their minds in awe at the beauty that surrounds you.
The inner-beauty isn't as pretty,
If only they knew.
Don't get me wrong, you're a good person,
That much is true.
Comparisons and relations,
No exceptions are made.
Impatiently I wait for the day when they will say,
"You are nothing like her."
