We stowed that tiny white pill
underneath our tongues.
Only waiting for a sign to show
what life really is about.
After I blinked, I gazed into your
sublime eyes.
You look back.
But we don’t speak because we are scarred

Something to hoist us up and take us somewhere new.
I imagine it.
Where we would go.
A world that resembled a white piece of paper.
Nothing.
Just you and I, and our white tablet.

And we will just leer at our masterpiece.
I blink again and reality takes over.
