Soul Pictures
She wonders why
The pain is so real,
As she cries in her sleep
She feels him take
A picture of her soul.
She wonders what he sees
When he looks at her.
Does he see that canyon
Of pain and sorrow
With the river of blood at the bottom?
Can he feel the emptiness,
The suffocating loneliness,
Of being lost in that canyon
Deep inside her soul
Forgotten and alone?
She prays with all her might
That one day he will see
All the pain she felt when he was gone
And he will understand
He is the only one who can make it right.
