Stress
As I take on honors classes,
My life becomes quite glum.
I get homework of great masses,
And yet; I still feel dumb.
The work just piles up and up,
I’m overwhelmed and tired.
I will not wake from a coffee cup;
I feel that I need to be rewired.
The day is not done;
I still have sports.
I begin a long run,
And my body contorts.
I speed to the emergency room,
Feeling like I’m dead.
But I will also face the tomb
If my homework is not read.
