Whirlwind
The whirlwind consumes; it begins far away, in a place where
no one can see it coming; and it creeps, sneaks, unnoticed,
until all of a sudden—there it is, and it’s dancing;
devouring, destroying; a flurry, a flutter of
numbers and letters; and yet they are
always wrong; or never enough;
just shy of what we’d hoped,
wanted, expected for you.
Whirlwinds consume
until there is
nothing
left.
