The Story Never Written
I look across my life
and see a story never written.
instead i see my misery
in the life that i was given.
If it was my choice,
my story would end where it started,
your first kiss would would eventually be your last.
Everything that you were, would become what your are.
life wouldn’t be too fast, we’d grow watching the sky’s fallen stars.
We’d build a life as our hearts collide.
always sticking together, always being by there side.
We’d grow old together, but always living young.
we’d die happily together, never letting go of what once was.
from childhood to nursing homes,
from pecks to kisses.
from being alone to whole,
from being miss to Mrs.
from being young to being old,
from being brave to being bold
is everything you’ll never come to know
as your life unfolds.
true love is a fairytale you’ll never see,
because love is not what it seems
someone should have told you
perfect only happens
in un~pursued dreams.
so we look back on our life's,
we look at everything its come to be.
you ask yourself this, would you change anything?
be honest with yourself, because if you honestly say you would,
then the biggest step is admitting into changing what you could.
you say that this isn't your fault,
that your story is the life that was given,
but the truth is its never to late to live the story,
The story never written.
The End
