Death, and When I See It
my eyes close shut,
I'm afraid
i’ll never wake up.
my breath it slowly depletes,
silently in decrease,
i can feel my heartbeat.
boom boom.
the sounds of the sirens,
I'm silent, it is quite.
not a sign
of violence in the night,
red and blue lights start to flicker,
I hear voices shouting, hey mister.
are you okay?
are you alright?
were going to save your life,
boom boom.
In reality i know
i’m here because of them,
somewhere i got lost
between enemies and friends.
there is no murderer,
i probably wont even get a case,
to them i’m dead,
just one thing left to erase.
boom boom.
it fades to black
i can hear them
as if there in my ears,
my life becomes a battle
i was battling my own fear,
I'm waiting for the moment,
the moment they yell clear.
boom boom.
It was then in that very moment
as i heard my last beat
inflamed by a pain
i somehow couldn't believe,
the lights, the voices,
they’re not here for me.
boom, boom.
boom, boom.
