I'm me not you
Being patient isn’t easy
And love only causes pain
All my flaws I show again & again.
I’m not perfect I know,
But it’s who I am and & that’s what I show.
People ask me why I act like I do.
I just say I’m me not you.
I go on from day to day
Wishing I could find the words to say.
My friends go on & on about how he should know
I know I love him and they do too,
But all I can say is I’m me not you.
People should stop trying to change me,
I like being perfectly flawed.
They say the same thing all the time,
My reply is always I’m me not you.
