Oh darling
Oh dear, don’t be sad.
For you are far too beautiful, to be so down.
I know life is hard. And has its moments, of pure happiness, then bitter frustration.
Just let go, let go of all you’re worries darling
For you are going to go far in your life
And people are going to look at you in awe
And wonder how you have come so far
Forget about the past, it’s nothing but a burden of old memories now
You can’t change what has already happened, but you can change what can happen in the future
Don’t come home, and cry yourself to sleep,
All your doing is wasting your time
Go out, and live a little.
Don’t let other people get you down
Why do other people’s opinions of you matter so much?
Don’t live for other people; don’t make yourself look some way so other people will like you.
Live for yourself, after all, it is your life
No one else can be powerful enough to destroy you
If what other people think of you, is so important
Then don’t come to me, crying about how you’re lost, and you can’t find your way back to yourself.
I guess that all I’m saying is, darling, you’re beautiful, be you and only you, that’s all that’s meant to be.
