Ruby
Nothing…
Really matters when your,
Dead.
That what’s so hard.
They say…
Hearing is the last
Thing that goes,
But I wonder,
Do they really hear you?
I speak loud
Ruby!
At your funeral,
Kind of made me look
Crazy.
As my heart
Poured,
Out to Ruby’s.
On that lonesome day.
I shed
Tears.
No reaction,
I smile, and
I don’t see any teeth shining,
Back at me.
Ruby’s…
Dead,
Her body doesn’t matter anymore.
But her spirit
Shines.
Telling me
Ruby’s still here your,
Just left with the empty,
Body.
Of mine…
