Sleep Fairy
Sleep Fairy, Sleep Fairy come take me
Sleep Fairy, Sleep Fairy don’t you see?
I’m tired of being awake
My weary body is yours to take
Tonight come fly into my bedroom window
Don’t delay for my soul is hollow
If you refuse to show
This bottle of pills I’ll be forced to swallow
I pray for your appearance
Because dying by your hand would be my preference
I don’t care what my mother will say
My father’s feelings don’t matter anyway
So Sleep Fairy, Sleep Fairy I beg you to come
For living another day is a thought I can’t fathom
No, I know you will not show
Therefore I begin to swallow
The bottle is now empty and so is my soul
Only drifting off into sleepy oblivion could make me whole
I lay my head down and go to sleep
I release my soul for the devil to keep
I hope that this will be my end
Because only my death could make amends
