Coffee House
We all sit
In a circle.
It’s not really
A circle though
Because none of us can make one
It’s just lopsided
All over the place
We sit here
Watching each other
As we spill out hearts out
Onto this ugly colored carpet
We talk about our life
Our problems
Hopes and dreams
In all these different styles
Trying to get people to see into our
Lives
Our grammar may be crap
Our spelling even worse
But what is written in these lined books
Are ours and ours alone
What is said behind this closed door
Stays within our closed hearts
Our minds open to listen
To what others
say
