"Isolation"
Isolation
From everything
Numbing
The pain
Isolating myself?
Or being isolated?
Watching my world
Pass me by
Spinning
Spiraling
Crashing
Down so quickly
Seemingly into
My selfish
Eternity
Trying desperately
To grab ahold of
Reality
Just to slow it down
Even for a second
So I can catch up
And fix this
Brokenness
Inside both
Myself
And relationships
Trust
That is no more
I’ve been trying to pick myself up
But every time I stand
I am knocked back down
Again
Into the darkness
Painting myself into a
Picture
That is already too full
So I sit in the corner
To look from the
Outside, in
While slowly
The darkness
Creeps in
Around the edges
Wanting to
Engulf
Every glimmer
Of hope
I hold in my
Bleeding heart
Fighting
My sunshine
Trying to
Break its way through
To again
What I see as
Beautiful
And embrace it again
Away from
Selfish isolation
When forgiveness
Is found
Beauty seen
But right now all I can do
Is get up off the ground
And try again
