Blue Skies
Blue skies
What do they truly symbolize.?
Peace and fortune?
To some
But to us they are a cover up of the dust
The lies told
The souls sold
Misfortunes that our parents say can turn to gold
Is it true?
The color or the dust?
All we know is struggling and confusing love for sacred lust
Ambushing our own
For fragments of what's owed
Getting lied to but mistaken it for the truth
That's what fools do
So who are you?
Who are we?
Who I be?
The fool who believes that the blue sky is filled with pride?
The one who sits on his a** and cries asking God why?
Or the one who blames my downfalls on the white man?
Thinking that everytime I fall Imma look up and see a helping hand?
Yea that's me
When I fall and look up there is always a hand greeting me
No matter the color of the sky
When I look up I see the eyes of the one who molded me.
