Golden Haze Disappearing
The symphony of silence
Oh, how it sounds so loud
No one is talking yet
But I can hear the anger speaking
Crackling across the room
Could it only have been six years ago
That he loved to hold her hand
And whisper about the future in her ear
Has she forgotten the times
In the satiny dark of night
When she risked her fathers rage to see him
Now they aren’t speaking
And they’re sitting far apart
Her father’s words of fury ringing true
That they would never stay in love
This golden haze wouldn’t last
And she’d come crying back to him before the winter
