These Days
In these shoes we keep a walk
Within our minds we frame a thought
If not for them just for ourselves
We occupy our vacant realms
For if we stop to think on it
We all just want to get through it
This tunnel, either dark or bright
It’s journey a struggle, a constant fight
We never know what waits for us
Life’s mystery comes clean to us
For if we die before we wake
We’ll have this now, not ever too late
