The New Girl
The class is rowdy when she walks in
All eyes land on her
The class goes silent
Gossipers whisper rumors in the back
Rumors that mean nothing to the class
But mean everything to her
She sits tentatively
Alone in the front
She glances around the room
Not knowing where to place her eyes
Greetings open the door to friendship
And a friend is what the new girl needs
