Lost In My Mind
Closing your mouth with duct tape,
Letting no words escape,
Fear so thick it stops your breath,
Sitting there wishing for death,
Blasting the music to drawn out the screams,
Tears running down your cheeks like streams,
Closing your eyes to dream,
Dreaming of a world where you aint just “part of the team”,
Digging your nails into your skin,
Trying not to let the sadness and pain win,
Walls covered with what you lost,
You lived but at what cost?
Quiet darkness waiting at your feet,
Hoping you will leap,
Eyes ringed in black from lack to sleep,
Every night you lay and weep,
Wishing you had been strong enough,
You got distracted by too much stuff,
Eaten up inside,
All you do is hide,
Hide from the life you created,
The life that you hated,
Scared that you even cared,
Those emotions you should of shared,
You ran out of time,
Now you’re surrounded by crime,
No one standing outside your balcony,
Your so alone, so full of agony,
A thud brings you back to reality,
Where you’re just another causality,
You have no one else to blame,
This is your shame,
A bang at the door,
Has you flat on the floor,
In the doorway stands death,
You wait to die holding your last breath,
The scythe comes screaming down,
Say goodbye to all the pain you carried aroun.
