The Lake
Made long ago on such a peaceful night
While the trees dancing quietly in the wind
A little girl site herself waiting
For a day when she can be free
It started with one, just one
Followed not too long by another
Crystals as soft as air pouring
Down her unforgotten face
She had nobody to call her own
And no home where she was being waited
Alone with the birds soaring in the sky
And her heart slowly breaking
Surrounding herself with sorrow
And laughter she was never given to find
All the misfortunes of her dark past
Made the young of her grow old
The lake grew more around her
And still moved not an inch
The water flowing at her fingertips
None too late she sank in
