The World I See
I didn't want to live in the real world.
All I saw were the lies between the lines,
And smelt the sadness in the air.
I'll pretend I'm somewhere else.
Where the people don't act so cold,
Where the trees can actually grow.
They didn't know I had a mind,
That I could find my way out of this mess.
I'll try to make it out alive,
If the world I exist in doesn't kill me first.
