From miles away
This is written with your face in mind.
I slide and squirm in the sheets after you leave.
Until you return to the safety of my arms, I will remain dormant.
The sun pours in and it is not even nearly as beautiful
for I cannot help but to compare this sight to your soul;
a subtle glow that grows strong through touch.
It can burn, and sting, and sometimes it’s too much.
But I will still come crawling back for more
because if it’s you....if it’s your soul…well, I’d let you set this body aflame
and ruin me to the core
