The smell of freshly mown grass
Sweeps throughout the air
And the sound of the wind blowing
Goes right through your hair
All is peaceful
All is calm
Until finally its game time
The music blasts
The teams appear
Warm ups begin
The crowds fill in
The whistle blows
The clock begins
The players run
The game has begun
Frantic coaches screaming plays
Parents applauding
Sidelines cheering
The clock winds down
10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1
The final whistle is blown
And just like that
The game has ended
Freshly mown grass torn apart by cleats
The wind blows the crowds away
The only noises are the teams walking away
One in defeat the other in sweet victory
