No Help
I watched you hurt her
I watched her cry
I watched you both act
Like everything was fine
I was like furniture
In that house
I held your secrets
You held shut my mouth
I didn't understand
At that time
Why when daddy beat her
My mommy cried
I knew why he'd hurt her
He was mad and they'd fight
But I didn't undersatnd
That this was not right
Emotional, Physical
It was all there
He did it
And we were all scared
No help for mommy
No help for me
No help for anyone
How could this be?
Nobody believed us
There was no help
Now mommy's gone
And I'm left in hell.
