The risk of trust
The past seems way to close
And the situations all to similar
Involuntarily connecting the dots
Between then and now
The walls I never knew I had up
They start to show themselves
The cracks only I can see
Must stay hidden
Letting someone else in would be too much
The walls that hold me up
I can’t risk letting them crumble
