Saccharine
Saccharine.
Luminous glow.
Wispy, fluffy.
Golden blissful eternal sustenance.
Beyond reality, beyond dreams.
So soft, yet so striking
Striking my lungs,
my chest, my heart.
Can't breathe,
Don't care.
Splash of ice
sharp, awakening.
It stings.
Rotten fruit.
My eyes were open.
Seeing only
Sunshine, daisies,
pale green apples.
Seeing not withering weeds,
trampled roses,
rotting peaches.
Infusing the air.
Saccharine.
