Letting Go
I can see your face as the smoke lifts away,
I can see the tears falling from your eyes,
And I want to catch them for you, put them in a bottle to help you lock up your sorrow,
But then water came down from the sky, too much for me to contain,
So I watched as you crumbled to the ground, waisting away,
But I'm sorry to say I didn't shed a tear, I kept them in a bottle on my mantle,
And even now that September's over, time has dried your tears, but mine are still too real sitting in that bottle on my mantle
