Midnight Reflection
A brittle pane of window glass
Reflecting everyone around me
In iridescent ripples
Warped
Crazy city rich girl
Guilt cropping up in my mind
Dandelions forcing through cracks in the sidewalk
Shattershine moondrops
Tumbling endlessly don
Pooling around bare, shriveled toes
Whispers at twilight
I need I need I need
Searching for release
Water building around the dam
Swishing and urging, pressure rising
Until the bricks buckle but don’t quite fall
Beautiful blind girl on a dusty lonesome road
Searching for mile marks that are impossible to see
And even more difficult to feel
