All The Same Yet So Different
The lowly slave and the high standing pharaoh,
The dry cactus and the pussy willow,
The black-eyed crow and the whitened dove,
The chill of hate and the fires of love.
The blank page and the blackened scroll,
The merciless sun and the night taking its toll,
The careless mountain goat and the wizened owl,
The cheerful piper and the crowned waterfowl.
The fierce cheetah and the lonesome cat,
The green snake and the pink-tailed rat,
The army of one and the stately regiment,
All the same yet so different.
