A new us
I think I now hate you.
Not because you stood up to me,
not because you said cruel things to me
but because I feel that we lost what we once had.
Maybe you don't know it yet,
but I think you'll soon find out.
I thought we would be together,
and never spend a lifetime apart.
Now I just think about how I am starting to resent you.
You changed to be a man,
yet you've also changed your sweet loving ways.
I cripple under the dread,
and cry for what the bleak future holds for us.
You are now a man, and I am no longer a girl.
I'm trying to change for you
and you have changed for us.
I hope though, my love hasn't changed,
for the man I think I still love
