Late Love
You came in my life a little too late
You came in the life that I’m leaving behind
I’ve been waiting my whole life to make this life my past
Now, because of you
I’m not sure if leaving is what I want to do
If I had the chance to stay
I would have the chance to give us a try
But then after a year
We will be back where we are now
Except this time you would be the one to leave
Going into the military to start your life
A life you’ve always dreamt of
I thank God for you
We got lost but together we found a way
We’ve created memories
And even though I have to leave you in my old life
The memories we’ve created will travel with me to my new life
