Changed
Do you know how much it hurts
To feel the pain of what you've done
You had to prove it to yourself and then to everyone
You could have been the bigger person
But you put on a show
I never realized how extreme you would go
You wanted to fit in
Believe me I still want it too
But what you did makes me want to hate you
Your cruel words towards me and those I love
Have made me change my view no longer
That one of love.
You apologized and I accepted
Not being the type to hold a grudge
But then you repeated it
And the dwindling sincerity caused my
Views to budge.
You yelled to me
“YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE”
But trust me I do
I’ve been betrayed and hurt just like you
Perhaps even more now
Because the rules of friendships were lost
In a haze and now what we have is done.
I refuse to do this anymore
Be used as your road to the top
You should realize before it is too late
It’s better now to stop
I can’t change this person you’ve become
And I know that it would help it too
If you changed the people who you are around
back to just me and you
