The Player
Lets play his game,
That’s how it will start,
A game that will end,
With a sad broken heart.
You’ll be number one,
And she’ll be number two,
This game usually begins,
With an, “I love you.”
Number one says it first,
Easy as can be,
Number two says it back,
Handing over her heart key.
He unlocks her door,
Takes one step inside,
He holds on tight,
And stays for the ride.
Good and bad,
Sometimes the same,
He helps her remember,
She’s never to blame.
The next few days,
Their “love” grows stronger,
She’s finally happy,
“please last longer”...
Now its over,
All said and done,
I think we finally found out who won.
All those lies,
Together forever,
She said he loved her,
Believe it, he’d never.
Lets play his game,
That’s how it will start,
A game that will end,
With a sad broken heart.
