I ran in the forest barefoot
wet, green, earth squishing through my toes
butterflies sang me a lullaby
and the dragon ate me soul
and the tree split in two
and I slipped through the cracks
falling to my death
still the butterflies sang to me
and the dragon ate my soul
and the stars shone
and the moon rose
and so did the sun
and the world thrived
and the butterflies sang
and the dragon ate my soul
and we all fell
