Lost and Alone
They are scared without a home
They are alone without a family
They are blind without an education
They are silent without someone to talk to
Those little children
Lost and vulnerable
Struggling to live
Fighting to survive
They sit around as their lives fly by
Shivering without the warmth of a blanket
And the care of a mother
They are lost without guidance
They are ill with no help
And they dream of a decent meal
As they starve from poverty
Drinking the water of disease
Eating all they can find
They are children
They are silent
If only we could hear those cries
That can only escape through the eyes
