lWorld War 2 love story
I saw him in the summer of 1942.
he was tall, thin and a farmers boy.
he walked over to me and took off his hat,
"Hello miss," he said. I smiled,
we danced the night away that night.
the next month we were living together.
he came home with a concerned look on his face.
he was drafted.
when he came back from the war I gave flowers and my heart.
I saw him last week.
He looks good.
I planted some roses at his feet just before the tears streaked my cheeks.
