When the Flames Blow Out

When the flames blow out,
When friendships die,
When laughter fades away,
When the music stops and all the world
Seems frozen in an endless void.

Why do the icicles melt in the morning,
Leaving puddles like the tears I've cried?
Why does the leaves fall from the trees,
To the ground where they blacken and die?

Why is there never any light
In the darkest of the days?
Why is the darkness always there
No matter how hard you push it away?

Why is love constantly ending,
Leaving us all alone?

When the world seems to be ending,
When nothing seems to change,
When everything is waiting
For something to end the pain.

When the flames blow out,
When friendships die,
When laughter fades away,

Just look to the sky
And you will find
The stars, the fire, are there.

Just look around
And you will find
There are new friends everywhere.

Just look to the world
And you will find
There's laughter in the air.

Sometimes,
Somehow,
The world is different there.

“I laugh, I love, I hope, I try, I hurt, I need, I fear, I cry. And I know you do the same things too, So we're really not that different, me and you.”
