Summer's Memories
Do you recall that summer night
We ventured to the carnival
And I seemed as anxious as a child
In a candy store?
When you fed me cotton candy
And we rode the carousel
Laughing the entire way through
And I confessed, “I like you.”
Do you recall the game you played
The one where you have to knock down all the pins
And you hit all three
And won me that ugly pink teddy bear?
When I hugged that ugly bear
Pulling you onto the dance floor
And we waltzed beneath the moon
And I whispered, “I love you.”
