Days that Dim the Night
They say during sunrise a shadow looks on,
daring on the evening sun,
a darkness the size of grain,
far past stages wax and wane,
feeding the cloud are people's thoughts,
all the black depressing sparks,
the urge to steal to lie to cheat,
to accomplish a goal and make it a feat,
while most do not partake in highs,
if you listen you can hear the cries,
the select few who see the fight,
and know only days can dim the night
